Has any company sorted out a reliable coating for there tanks.

I have had one of my past Ninja tanks And one of my current ninja tanks that the gel coating has cracked (not sure if I can get tank re hydro tested like that). And one empire tank that’s the coating is crack and splitting apart (don’t feel comfy using this one anymore).

Only 45k tank I have left is a newer First strike 48/4500. I switching mostly to running 48/3000 Aluminum tanks because I sick of replacing my expensive tanks and I don’t shoot all that much. I Just like the lighter weight tanks for balance.

after reading about this years ago, i researched it and contacted the company that manufactured my tank. the gel coat was also cracked.
armed with a little info, i was able to convince the re-hydro facility that it was only the gel coating that was poorly manufactured.
TL/DR: i got my tank re-hydroed even with gel coat cracking

I just had 5 tanks re hydrod. One tank was a ninja 45 45 it had a chip on the top rad, and bottom rad from bouncing around in a tank. Down to fibers but they were not harmed. The local hydro tester put a dab of epoxy on the holes for me.

Also had a super cracked up 68 in the mix, passed hydro fine.

My 2016 Brown ninja sl76 tank also got hydrod and that one has no visible cracks in the gelcoat.

I think ninja had a bad couple of years with their manufacturer, but they have improved since then.

The gelcoat has nothing to do with structure of the tank.
