Now I just go to ACE. The selection isn't quite as good as it was at that old Do it store, but it's has 99.9% of my needs covered.
Would I be able to see a picture of one of these bearing screws?

These two places can supply %90 of the industrial needs of industry. I would also add to that “eBay” because often when you want to make something you need to get it from where stuff is now made...and that isn’t Canada or the US, it’s China. North America is basically just salesmen and con artists at this point. When you want metric stuff with plating, for example...metric nuts of any quality other than “basic” it’s pretty hard to get them most places. This goes times 100 for electronic stuff.

I have a couple of local stores that can be hit and miss. Often can find the thread I am seeking, the head I am seeking, but not the length. I typically purchase the screw, a nut, and use my hacksaw on it.
To be fair, up until very recently I have been pulling from a screw collection I have gathered over the years. I have all manner of standard and metric stuff in there, set screws and strange fittings. It was built up over years of tinkering and just recently has gotten to the point where I couldn't dig through and find what I needed. At this point I no longer have the frame to body screw for Automags, and no longer have any match sets of grip screws.
Lol, the other aspect is that at some point I dropped some Matrix detents down into the same cubby. Over the years it sort of melted away and is a slimy, sticky black residue over pretty much everything in the container.
