Using a sling shot

I am sure ppl likely have thought of using a sling shot to play and maybe talked about it.

But I did not find it, maybe it was an old topic.

I know that some of the wrists rockets can shoot over the 300 fps, but if you shorten the bands. To the point that no matter the pull or who is pulling it. It will shoot 300fps or lower.

So can a sling shot be used to play?
it would make for another type of limit paint play.
might also have make a pouch with a ball detent to hold the paint. Hahahahaha

I've thought about trying to make a velocity adjustable one, could be a blast. If you ran some string/cord through the surgical tubing so that it could only stretch so far you could actually set the velocity at the chrono. I don't know how many fields would allow it though.

I used to play with one years ago. It was a great way to play. You are super fast and agile plus you can use paint that falls on the ground! 😁

I had an old crossman (I think) and it never shot over 250. Some fields may not let you play with one but if you're crazy enough, a lot of places will. My best kill was right up at the front of a field at a fence. A guy with an electro came up to the other side of the fence and I thought I was going to get lit up. But I quietly reached around and popped him in the leg before he knew what hit him. I can say my heart was sure pumping. It's a lot of fun. As long as you can crono it I don't see why most fields would care unless it's an insurance issue. Years ago that wasn't the case when people were shooting over 15bps at 300.

Back in the day we would use cord to limit the velocity.. It works very well..
there were a few sling shot only teams back then.
we would just tie it outside the bungee.you get constant fps and they aim very well after some practice...
woods ball is the place to use one... silient but deadly....

Used one in my first ever game, mainly because it was the only option. There were 4 of us playing, we had a P68, Stingray, trracer and a slingshot. We also played at night and noone got hit due to the darkness

I messed with one in my back yard a lot as a kid, and I found paint seemed too heavy for mine to get a good velocity.

WOW!!!! A response from the great brass magician. Good to see you are still around. Right before I stopped playing and getting on here, we were working on doing a build.


I did not even think about a simple string to restrict the pull like you guys said. I might look to pick one up to play around with.

Now if you're asking if I owned a field of somebody came up to me and asked if they can use a slingshot of the field the answer is probably no unless you can convince me that this thing will not shoot above field limit I ran into a guy at supergame who had an airbow and said he would intentionally pull it about 80% of the way when he would Chrono then out on the field he pulled it 100%, so he got a velocity bump

Well that's an ahole right there, if he is cheating doing that, what else is he cheating on.

Reminds when friends and I were playing at an outlaw field. Another small group of guys showed up. One guy shot my friend on the hand across the field, the paintball shell cut his hand and stuck in the skin.

We told the guys hey you have to go over to our chrono and check your guns. All the guys were ok with doing that ,except the guy who shot my friend. So we moved to other side and they had to play 2 on 2 on their own. You could tell the guy ruined a fun time for the rest.

I got this one and at a full draw I mean really cranking on it it will just barely hit 300 FPS. I have used it a few times to play and gotten a decent amount of hits with it. It’s surprising how accurate it actually is. My two boys love shooting paintballs at stuff in the backyard with it.
