Wrong detent style for a Dragun, and they never used that Spyder Rodeo-style of vertical grip attachment either.could be a prototype
reminders me of the ICON dragon TES.
ICON made a lot of spyder clones with the same color schemes. the Dragon was also back to front a green to black fade (but glossy).
could be an icon with some spyder bits...?
looks like they might have changed out the boards ar some point and had to re-drill the charger port. (i know the spyder came with that board but there were many other board styles over the years)
Especially seeing the injection-molded grips I'm really taken with the idea of this being some sort of unused Kingman prototype or production sample.Comment

Ecapnation was kind enough to solve the mystery for me. Needless to say it will be getting thoroughly cleaned and reassembled as soon as I get home and I will post some pics. I didn't receive it with a barrel so I will need to find a good match........ Here is the info from a reliable source
"Wow, that's one of our guns. Not a production piece but something we were designing to sell. We opted not to after the team sort of fell apart. Kingman never kept anything and likely sold it off at an event or an employee took it".

So is the BC limited edition feedneck part of the original design? Was it for Bad Company? anyone seen my left sock?Comment

I can only assume the feedneck was part of the original design because it was a Bad Company gun that appeared to never come to fruitionComment

Honestly it popped on Ebay from a random junk store/seller. (not a paintball person). It was listed as not working and little to no description. I saw it and really like 90 frames so I picked it up to strip the frame for a Spyder build. I had no idea anything about it was rare until it arrived and I couldn't find any info via the mighty Google. I paid $39 plus a few bucks in shipping....... Pure dumb luckComment

So we know it’s a kingman spyder prototype but it doesn’t appear to be a known model/body. Unless someone can get a kingman insider to spill the beans on what it was going to be called, we get to name it!
I vote for Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust (Geoff for short)
I also vote for SpydeeMcSpyderFace
or Dee Spyder
