    MiniMag Appraisal

    Greetings,

I have been out of the game and off MCB for quite some time, but recently I spotted a MiniMag at the local thrift store and decided to save it from the clutches of some deranged 9-year-old who thinks it is a Super Soaker or something. I owned a Classic Mag many moons ago, but haven't the slightest clue how much I paid / sold it for, let alone what the going-price is these days. As such, I figure I better "ask the experts" before I throw it in the BST Forum. The only thing it appears to be missing is a barrel o-ring. Any other info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Without further ado:

Level 7, stock on/off, and must've had a velocity lock on it at some point, judging from those markings at the rear.

      I'd say $150 is a fair price.

Any idea what brand the barrel is? I'm also not entirely sure whether the foregrip is an expansion chamber or regulator? I failed to mention in my original post that it will have to be sold as-is as I don't have a tank to test it out with.

Barrel looks Smart Parts. Definitely an expansion chamber. Automags have a built-in regulator. Double reg'ing is pointless.

Barrel looks to be smart parts and that's almost certainly an expansion chamber/gas through.

I tend to agree. Looks like an old All American.

By and large, and for a long time, base Minimag were from $125-175 based on frame and working condition. I would have put this one at ~the 125 level. Very recently there has been a great demand for Automags and parts much like what happened with Autocockers. Given that and what is assuredly a non working (for long) condition without the rebuild kit that AGD is out of stock of right now.....that the above ~150 appraisal is probably about right.
