Spyder Dye frame trigger pin, am I missing something

Bough a NOS in box Dye single finger spyder frame

Remove the sear, trigger and springs from another spyder frame and I realise the trigger pin is smaller than the hole on the frame...
checked 2 spyder trigger pin and they measure similar

trigger pin is 4mm (.1575") and frame hole is 4.5mm (.177")
the other pins seem better but somewhat a tiny bit looser than the original spyder frame

anyone using DYE single finger spyder frame?
wondering if I got a deffective one with tolerance issue

Picture show OEM spyder pin measurement, you can clearly see the pin is smaller than the hole next to the opening
Safety hole is also bigger but less critical

I have one in storage somewhere and noticed the same. I reckoned I'd have to source a different pin, but just never did. I'm also curious about what others discovered.

They are sized for very early frames...... It's annoying. Generally no just make a new pin

Wonder how early I have to go, the donor frame was a M16 grip single finger frame

If you're in need, I can look through my bins and see if I've one for you.

If you find one let me know, I would be happy to get one

Or I will try to find rod or bolt that could be close enough to use

I'll need to grab my calipers from work, but I might be able to find something for you, if you haven't found one yet. You want a roll pin? Or a dowel? What's the minimum length you need?

I have a preference for dowel pin but could use roll pin too.
        Min length is .778"

I don’t remember for certain but the last one I had I think I used a spring pin

That one, which I have on a build, has some janky o-ring retained pin thingy. I will eventually just go find brass rod stock of the appropriate diameter, and drill the hole in the double trigger a touch larger to make things better.
      Velcor will save us...

I dont mind drilling the trigger but want to find a pin with the appropriate size not to drill the chrome frame (its the only non flaked one I have)
    Working...
