    9oz chrome-moly tank value?

Going through boxes and found this. I probably have more if I dig through more boxes. Are people still buying these small tanks?

From what I've seen, it's the smaller 3.5 or 4oz tanks that are in the highest demand.

I was given 20 of these last year and ended up scrapping all but 2. 2 of them were chopped and used a brace in a modification on a John Deere 644 loader bucket. We had run out of stock and wanted something more beefy than angle iron. It was a much shorter drive to my house then to the nearest place that sells steel.

      So, In short.... No value.

Unfortunately I think this is the case.

The 16oz rounded tanks, and the old school 'ball' tanks may have a wee bit of value just due to nostalgia, but honestly the wee tanks are the only ones that actually retain their worth.

          Virtually worthless....

I scrap all of the chrome molly tanks that I get in bulk buys.

I basically keep 7oz aluminums and anything smaller

Can you keep these in hydro "forever"?

That is what I thought. For a second I wondered if they were "worth it". Nope.

Most "true" Chromoly tanks have no limit to service life. To be sure look up the DOT number but then again Mr. Hick has most likely the best use for them.

Only if you roll it in the dirt, and then spit on the cell phone camera lens before you take the photo. Then, Good Sir, You will have a winner.

Of course. It's not authentic if it's not properly aged. The photos and the tank have to look like they're from 1999.

That's the only reason I asked if there was still any value. My understanding is basically anything steel under the 2x2 rule is exempt. But I do remember reading about certain numbers that don't fall under that rule.
