    What threads are these?

Left is AC threads , right is Spyder threads, two in the middle are the ones in question. They have the thickness and set up of a AC thread but the thread turn is like that of a Spyder. I tried to put these on my ICD 2000 and would not fit either. Any ideas?

Almost certainly 'shoebox' and SFT-era Shocker.

I have both of those markers at home so I will test that later. I remember buying these as AC barrels though

What is going on with the feedneck of that poor V Sport?

-Smarty Parts used a feed neck thread even smaller and thinner than the original Angel feed threads for their verticals. They rather chronically stripped out, and JB Weld and other epoxies were commonly applied to fix them. SP never bothered to improve them, as the vertical shoebox was only on the market for a year or so, before the '03 single-tube model came out. (Which also rather stupidly used the same thread, but at least offered a bit more support for the "shank" of the neck.)

Oh, I'm well aware of the idiotic thread they used (makes WDP's look robust), but that looks hideous. However, if it works, it's a minor point, and then Nxt needs to ride it 'til it don't ride no more. And Nxt: that Stiffi actually looks quite nice on there.

Didn't V Sports come out in '98? I seem to remember seeing one the first time I went to an actual field, which would have been in '99.

While we're on the topic- and I don't care if this is a thread hijack 😁- if anyone has a Shocker Sport LS board in working order, lemme know!

Appreciated on the board. As long as it's an LS board. I have a baker's dozen DS boards in the box.

I'd probably hate the Stiffi barrel, then. I like the extra bit of aluminum out there that a 16" or 14" barrel gives me.

Do you mean 5/16"/8mm macro? If so, yes, and both can be had from McMaster Carr. I've refitted all but two of my Shockers with 8mm macro because I'm a lunatic. Actually, the 2001 Shocker I didn't manage to sell in the second round of sell-offs came with 8mm macro, and it had better consistency over the chrono than my 1/4"-equipped Shockers, so, as an unhinged person, I decided to standardize on 8mm because I have nothing else to do. Whether the extra tube volume of the 8mm has anything to do with anything, I don't know and I don't care.

I may have to ask you a ton of questions down the road once I get to this project. I think I have another shocker brick style in my stash I have yet to dig out.

Go for it, I don't mind a bit. If I may brag a bit- partly on myself- if Doc Nickel or myself can't help you with old-school Shocker queries, yer on yer own!

Yeah I like it too. Got the barrels through various avenues and the market was intended to be sold but I might keep it now since it came with an OG glued All American, and now the CP and Stiffi barrel now.

I have one of those old CP's in Cocker thread. 16", and i really like the way it balances. I've never seen one in Shocker threads.

I have eleven or so of the various iterations of the manifold Max Flos, but I've never messed with a tank-mounted reg before. Should be as solid an bomb-proof as any other Max Flo, though. Except for the addition of the on/off lever, the internals are the same.

I am learning about Smart Parts' various feedneck threads, as we speak. I have already bought one feedneck that didn't fit... who knew that there were two separate ION threads? Huh. According to ZDSPB, it's 13/16-32 and a 7/8-32.
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.
