    Help finding the right jersey

So most of the time I don't play in a traditional jersey because South East GA is 90*+ most of the year with 1000% humidity. I wear my Carbon SC shirt that just has the padded arms. It's long sleeve and keeps me from getting sunburned. I'm a red head and burn easily so coverage is important to me. But the Carbon is extremely good at keeping me cool all day. But for the winter I want something that is black and gray but maybe has some more padding. I have been looking at the Carbon SC blank jersey. It looks great and all but I don't think it has any padding. (does it? Does anyone know?). I have had the Empire under shirts with the padding but they are ovens. I don't want that much padding all over plus a jersey on top.

I also have noticed the Dye Tactical Mod 2. I like it because it has the high collar to protect my neck. Again, I'm thinking sun more than paintballs but both would be good. I do wear a neck gaiter in the summer to keep me from getting burned. But I hate those things because they're hot. I don't think the Dye tactical has padding either because it's made for vests to go over. I don't play with a vest on so I will just get hit but that's probably ok. Is there something that is light weight, has good padding in the chest and arms and maybe will have some neck cover? I'm really just trying to see what other people are using or suggest.

I am pretty OCD so color options do matter. I have a Cricut machine and can modify it with name and numbers. I did that to my SC shirt. It's easy enough. I just want something that will protect me well enough. I am debating just getting a non-padded jersey to have an extra loose layer. The Carbon might be my better option in that case. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why not another Jerseys clinic jersey? They will pretty much customise any jersey. Their hyper light jersey is all full dye sub mesh on back. And you can get any of the pads removed if you ask. Ive dont hyper pro and light jerseys with no padding in the chest before.

Ive also had them make me a FULL mesh jersey, no pads, just dye sub perforated mesh long sleeve to my custom team jersey pattern. It was so nice and cooling, but it was also hard to see the logo on it in some lighting.

Im only plugging them because I noticed you had one of their jerseys already.

Ive been working with em for a long time, so if communication is an issue, Id help get you the shirt ya want with nothing going into my pocket in the deal.

I did think about it but I only want one this time. Last time I ordered several for me and my kids and didn't have any issues but at that time they didn't do just a single jersey. I love my JC but I would get the lighter one this time. I would love to have a one of a kind (or at least a very rare) jersey again. My jersey and Tech-T's they did before have all held up well. I reached out to him to see if I can get a HyperLight without the glove. I wear gloves and no longer want the integrated glove.

Thanks for the suggestion. For the price, I might as well get exactly what I want. It will end up being about the same as the others I'm looking at. I didn't think he would do a single so that's why I hadn't considered them.

Jerseysclinic will do no gloves, no padding, swap fabric, etc. The new 2021 styles are slightly different, and just had some made without meah fronts and no padding, both modifications without trouble. I liked the gloves on the 2020 styles, not as much on the 2021 style. Tech shirts are nice also. This was my third order from them, and have been happy with every order.

Juat tell them what you want, no need to compromise.

Yeah I have reached out to them. The only reason I didn't ask them is the last time I ordered they really didn't want to do a small order.

I ended up going with the 2021 HyperLight even though it couldn't be done without the glove. The gloves in new Hyper Light jersey are integrated with the sleeves, so they can't replace it with cuffs. I like all the mesh it has on it and the cordua arms and I can just not put my thumbs through the hole and still wear my gloves with it. I love my JC padded version and the advantage of doing this one is that it looks the same as my older one (minus a few cosmetic changes I made). All in for $99 and it's custom. Can't go wrong there. I might get a new padded one for this winter. I can get it updated or maybe do a different design. Thanks for the help.

Good to see they took care of ya! I love working with them. You can always look into seam ripping the gauntlets off, but they are likely gonna grow on ya. I dont wear gloves anymore cuz of my JC jersey, though it does occasionally wear on the webbing of my thumb. On those days, I just slip my hand through the cuff without the thumb hole.

They put a piece of padding along the ribs for my jersey to protect my defribillator. no extra charge.

Yeah I'll probably just wear it like a sleeve instead of a glove and wear my Exalt gloves.

FYI, 2020 Hyperlight (foxwood) vs 2021 Hyperpro (unpadded) (Olive Green) gloves. Also, the perforation is different, back of each shown. Hyper-Pro in both, though Jerseysclinic will make the older style for slightly more if you ask, so pick what you like. In our case, we did the new 2021 Hyper-pro for solid front instead of perforated, but removed all the padding (effectively making them similar to the hyperlight's from 2020). You don't really need to keep track of this, just let them know what you want, and you'll get something good. Their sizing chart is spot-on, so use it, don't just buy something based on your expected size.

Thanks. This makes me happy with my choice of the 2021 Hyper light. Those look great. My old JC jersey has held up well. I expect this to do the same.

I went with rash guards this year for my team. Wanted to see what the recent trend was for them so I made a bunch. It's definitely tighter to the skin but still breathable. We all did our measurements then sized up to account for pads and middle aged "enhancements"

They seemed to perform well and with the service that I use to do print all over, I can get crazy with the designs in the future.

Just to close the loop on this. I got the jersey in yesterday and it looks great and I love how much mesh is in it. It should breathe pretty well. The cordura sleeves are nice and with the few tweaks from my last one (changed my number, added the skulls on the shoulders instead of JRSYCLNC), it is now got me looking at replacing my winter padded jersey. Thanks for all the advice and help.
