Removing Scratches from Flex Bottons?

Hey MCB! Just picked up some beat to hell 05 sparkle blue flex bottoms and would love to restore them.. any advice on how to do that would be awesome!

I dont know how you would. I think sanding will only haze em more. I just leave mine all scratched up. Lol

Most ways to restore plastic involve chemicals and these are meant to protect your face

Figured so. It's just cosmetic at the end of the day, just was curious if anyone had any tricks! Ugly but they will still work.

Not saying this will work on this plastic (not sure how deep the "sparkles" go) but my company's remanufacturing operation uses Mr. Clean "Magic Erasers" on the line to buff out small scratches in plastic enclosures. They use them dry by the way. Those bottoms are pretty roached so don't expect miracles.

I ended up using the magic eraser.. toothpaste and a dry microfiber + a lot of TLC... still not perfect but a hell of a lot better!

Magic eraser is just using plastic (foam) as a light abrasive, and that was what I was going to suggest. You basically just sanded them with a light grit, which is great. To restore completely you would get a good media that matches the original texture and blast them with it

Good work though, they look a lot fresher that way
