Mystery barrel thread on Tac-One body

I’m hoping someone on here might be able to help out with this. I purchased a Tac-One last month off of Kijiji. The guy failed to mention it wasn’t AC threaded and now he won’t respond to any messages. So as you can see it has some sleeve installed and the thread appears to be either 0.8 or 32 pitch according to my thread gauges, they are so close it’s hard to tell them apart. I have tried all barrels I own that look somewhat similar without luck. I think a freak front is 32 pitch, but double lead, so it won’t thread on.
I have sent an email to Sandman, but probably won’t hear back till Monday.

Anyways, anyone recognize these threads?

Cocker to A5 adapter?

If it’s an adapter, then it’s really stuck in there. I tried my Carbine barrel, but it didn’t work.

Are there 4 leads? I see atleast 2 in the one photo. Id guess ICD threads than.

Amd i dont know tac one bodies specifically, but could there be a retaining screw under the rail making it stuck?

Not ICD threads, at least not the ones that fit my Fox or my Panther. Tried both. No screw underneath holding it in place.

wthomas333 - it's very likely an adapter... Ratzo has a Cocker adapter/sizer stuck in his TacOne body as well.

It wouldn’t be a big deal if I knew what kind of barrel those threads went to. I’m not afraid of destroying the adapter, just don’t want to damage the body.

Mine was a Lapco Cocker threaded sizer .680.
It's pretty bad when you forget about your own gear. I just ran down stairs to check it out, there the sizer was sitting beside the body. I have no clue how or when I got it out.

That would make sense, unfortunately it doesn’t have anywhere to grip it to get it loose. Looks like most of the newer ones have the little holes in them or stick out slightly so you can get a grip on them.

Honestly.... Buy a taper ream and smack it in. At this point it's garbage anyway

I thought about using a taper drill bit, I had it out on the workbench. But I went a different way. Carefully cut a couple small indentions on the the sides and jammed a quarter in there. Then used some vise grips and it came right out.

Good idea not to use that kinda barrel on the tac one ! Nice job.

The Tac One stock barrels were often small enough that they rattled around in a standard cocker body until really snug. Might be that the bodies were a bit below spec, too.
