Who hydrotests tanks now?

Looks like Crossfire has disappeared since I played last? Are there any paintball specific hydrotesters to be found anymore, or do folks just turn old tanks into lamps and sell them on etsy?

Ninja tests them. Not sure if immortal air or first strike test them. Other than that I'd check with a field or fire department and see where they have them tested at

I mostly see people getting tests done either at scuba or fire safety stores.

Try finding a place that does testing for fire fighting equipment. I take my tanks to a place in town that does just that. $35 per tank.

Same here. The firefighting equipment place in my town has quick turnaround and only charges me about $20.

In my neck of the woods it is. The local shops charge $50 and the wait time is 2-4 weeks.

$35 shop near mezzanine turn around time can be 1 or 2 days. Dropped 3 tanks at noon, they were ready by 11am next day.

There’s a company called Firex in Portsmouth, RI that charges $20/tank and has a 24-48hr turnaround time. Not sure if they do shipping, but you may be able to find a similar company in your area.

A note for scuba or fire safety shops is they will probably want you to remove the regulator first (I know the one we go through does not want to take responsibility for them)

Assuming you have a smart phone, go to the app store and find an app called "rin locator" I think it was really designed for the scuba industry but it's an app that locates anywhere in your area that does hydro testing based on the testing certificates they hold. I would still call and make sure they can do paintball tanks but it's a great tool

Thanks all! I'd probably burn 20 bucks in gas finding a "local" store these days too. Hydrotest.com sounds about what I paid at Crossfire IIRC. I'll poke around the suggestions so far.

Be aware that not all shops hydro ISO tanks like the Guerrilla Air and First Strike units. Most places do the DOT tanks.

My local fire equipment shop charges $22.11 with tax for the service and it is usually less than a week.
Local field does it for $75 if they remove the regulator.I prefer to remove the regs myself as the fire equipment place used a pipe wrench once and marred the reg.
