    Palmer Female Stabilizer

What's the outside diameter of one of these bad boys? I have a Check-It mount, and I'm just curious if it'll fit.

The OD is 1 inch and yes it will work in a unimount bracket.

No problem. I have a female stabilizer in a unimount cage on an old minicocker. It works out just fine if you don't care about the outside of your stabilizer. The set screws will scratch up the outside, unless you do something to protect the stablizer. On mine I had some little bits of nylon I dropped in the unimount set screw holes before I put the screws in. That put a layer of protection between the stabilizer and screw, so mine does not have dings from the set screws.

I have round point stainless set screws and shim steel. I figure .005 or so shim would prevent damage. The .005 works with the on/off that's supposed to be used with the cage.

I just want to finish up my old-school autococker. I have a nice fat and comfy expansion chamber on it (that serves no purpose other than aesthetics, and, well, it's comfy), but it really needs a reg so I can spring it lighter.
