What are people paying for 12 gram co2?

I know this isn't a question for "Experts" but I didn't know where else this post would make sense.

I'm planning on heading to Stocktoberfest for my first every stock class game. I went to buy 12 Grams and they seem to be running about a buck a piece at Walmart. I checked on Amazon and that seems to be the going price. I thought I remember these things being dirt cheap. Is that the going rate? Also, is there a preferred brand or anything, does it make a difference?

The 12 gram market has been affected by covid like everything else these days. Pre-plague you could get them around .28 a piece on bulk orders. Now they’re sitting around .60-1.00 a piece. Leland “special forces” 12ies are great because they are oil free. Crosman work just fine as well. “Cheap” brands may have a dirty oil inside that works it’s way into your valve, or they can have erratic fills.

I really appreciate the offer! Luckily I am such a big target I get shot out before I can shoot a ball in pretty much every game, so I think one cartridge will last me the weekend (j/k). I'll just order a box from Walmart and if some how if I run through those I can just buy more from AG.

I get Leland special forces cartridges 40packs for 21 bucks. I plan on getting more for Slim's if you want me to grab you some.

Thanks for the offer! I am not sure why, but I checked my local Walmart's grocery delivery to see if they had 12 grams. They have Crossman 40 packs for $17. So I ordered 4 packs. If they are "out of stock" and they don't deliver them, I will take you up on that offer for sure.

I would take lelands over cross man given the choice. Cross man are dirty inside and can have duds meaning empty content cartridge also varying in the quality of the fill.

Inflation is everywhere and has managed to ruin everything!
Anyway, Umarex 12 grams are great and I bought a bunch a year or two ago off eBay for a good price. Check it out, I don't recall how many I bought or the cost or how it compares to others currently. At the time I remember it being a good enough of a deal to buy them especially since I couldn't find Lelands.

I get Crosman's 40 count box for $17 at my local grocer. Though I'm not nearly as picky as some of the members here, I feel that's a good price.

What's dumb is they have 25 count boxes of the exact same stuff for $15.99. So I get literally almost double for one dollar more, at the same store. Makes sense.

I buy them in bulk from redrock every few years. Looks like they may be sold out tho. Hopefully they are available again when I’m ready for my next order. Bulk is definitely the cheapest way to buy and you can get oil free 12g. The fills on these are super consistent and I don’t think I remember having a single dud in the last box of 500. Crossman are often your best bet in a pinch if you need something quick. The oiled just requires a lil more maintenance and the fills are not as precise.

Sorry to revive this topic, but I just got my first 12-gram pump.

I've read on some older forums that the air-gun cartridges may have oil in them to help lube the guns, as benoitown said.

My local Walmart has 25 packs of Daisy 12 grams for $12 or $13, but didnt want to grab them in case they were junk.

I read on another forum that some people use food grade ones for like the soda streams, and that they are better quality.
