    Open bolt pump?

Other than the Pump Ion from Ed Peterson and that weird purple Spump that was just posted, Are there others? Specifically, not homebrew/diy pumps?

I wish someone would make a pump kit for Emeks.
Leave the internal workings of the valve/3-way alone, but build out a more complex trigger mechanism that relies on a pump stroke to reset the trigger.

Emeks don't rely on the trigger being reset to complete a cycle, unlike a mech Ion. It's an interesting idea but I don't see it being a functional one.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

There was a post on the old MCB for a pump DP G3
The pump action was activating a valve was filling the dump chamber and the trigger was releasing the pressure keeping the bolt back.
On the DP G3, the dump chamber is connected to the regulated air output on those. From what I understand the passage between the HPR and the dump chamber was blocked and a valve was added to fill the chamber when pumped.

MCS offers a pump kit for their 98 based magfed markers, the bolt/blizzard/vortex. Not sure about the Hurricane which is an X7 based marker. I'm sure it's not too hard to get the kit, 50ish ducats, and mod the 98. I have a blizzard and there is really only one screw hole difference at the front that I can tell, along with the lack of the right side hopper.

From the factory…I don’t know of any, I can only think of downsides.

Splatmaster…opens as it fires, right? That’s the closest thing I can think of.

The basic idea of a open bolt pump…doesn’t that pressurize the hopper every time you fire it?

Was it Australia that AGD made the pump mags for?

It’s closed, the bolt fully pushed the paintball into the barrel when ready to fire

Splatmaster and GZ1000 are both open-bolt pumps. The breach is fully open when the gun is "ready to fire".

I guess all double-actions might count as "open bolt", but since the definition technically refers to the actions of automatics (semi, full, etc), we would really be splitting hairs with double-actions.

You are correct. Basically a spaghetti bundle of hoses. Theres also a check valve inline to the dump chamber to prevent it from losing pressure when the trigger valve releases the bolt. I also added a qev to the bolt port since then to allow it to vent faster. I was just going through this thing again now that I got a legal tank.

Planning to take it out to play in a couple weeks.
