Do you have any special air track items, ie vert air adapter, regulator, macroline and fittings, on/off asa? Do you have stock internals? You mentioned customization but didn't say what. The stock 98s should be fine on either CO2 or HPA so I'm leaning towards a customization not being CO2 compatible.

Well. It sounds pike they are starving for air. You try chqnging the hammer drive springs out? You pull the valves to see if they are the old 2 air passage ones, vs the newer 4 passage valves? Wheres your fvq? Try burying it. Itll likely take your velocity down, but does the increased back pressure allow the marker to cycle?
For the record, co2 should run the markers easier than hpa as its more dense. But the guns should qork on both.

Those are some sweet 98 kits.

Is it possible when you added the male QD that you may have threaded it in too far and you jammed the spring on the exhaust valve, impeding it's movement? Ran into this when someone ran a factory SS line too far into the valve and hung up the spring. try backing out the QD fitting about an 1/8 th to 1/4 turn. Worth a look. GL.

Have you pulled the valve apart and checked the o-ring? I had a 98 do something similar and it had a dead o-ring in the valve itself.

a similar customization - that works flawlessly. all original parts / trigger works via linkage.
