Is this a variant of an Assault 80?

I bought this thing ages ago, shelved it, and forgot about it. Was selling off excess paintball guns and I see that Assault 80s have risen somewhat dramatically in value. This one is slightly different than most Assault 80s I can find, both in the way it's branded and the ... secondary solenoid or whatever it is on the front of it. I am looking to sell it, but I'd like to correctly identify it first. Thank you!

I remember reading or seeing something about early models having an extra hose as some sort of pressure feedback to the reg to help the reg recharge rate somehow. The solenoid is definitely not the blocky style you normally see. Maybe a very early model Assault 80?

Not so much an extra hose as it is a wire feeding into that two-pronged plug head to that 'noid. I'm assuming that's what powers it.

I mean, heck, I'm 90% sure I bought this thing here, or rather the pre-nuked forums, over 10 years ago.

I don't have a domain on which to host it. Several people have approached me and offered to take all the documents and pictures, of which we have archived, and make it into a functional web site. I am now down several flash drives having physically mailed them to people who ended up doing nothing with it and dropping all contact. So there's that. I'm still willing to supply someone with all of it, though.

Re: the hose, yes that line is a small air hose but all War Machine Assault 80s have that. I was referring to the blue wire under the breach.

That is an assault-80. All of the noids were on the front for the a-80's. yours may actually have the updated noid. RuleOfSines was trying to find a model number for that at somepoint.
The hose from the reg to the side of the body is a supercharger kit. It was intended to basically help fill straight from the reg chamber straight into the dump chamber to help cut down on shoot down.

Thanks! I actually came across the manual already. My main question, which you answered, was "is this an Assault 80". The secondary question is, "does anyone know why mine looks different?" Mainly the solenoid instead of the block housing and the lack of the stencil graphics. Unless this one was annoed in the aftermarket. Looking through any sort of recent transactions these have commanded a fairly hefty price, so I want to make sure I'm as accurate as I can be when listing it.

My guess is this was a reano, but I do know some team guns had something other than black as well. So hard to say exactly.
