Low Level Electro ID -- Proto?

Anyone know what these are? Was thinking Proto SLG but look a little different. Hard to tell with black gun. Thanks!

Yup slg, I just got done messing with 2, I think they are pretty cool actually. There's one design flaw I came across but it's really fixed with a file or grinder

If you don't want those I might be interested depending on the price

I haven't bought them, but was tempted to hit them with an offer. I've had a SLG before but after I sold it the mushrooming issue you mentioned arose. I think the guy fixed it himself, but I did offer to take it back.

The internal body where the bolt hits, just behind the feedback. At least that was a common problem and someone had posted a video on how to fix it. That's what I thought you wanted to use the file on. But I now notice you said grinder as well, so obviously you're talking something else!

O, I ran into that a little. That was an easy fix. What I found though was that the sear won't catch the bolt unless the bolt is 100.0000% back. 99.9999% isn't good enough. Which means with a little wear and tolerances change just a little it can miss the bolt and just go full Auto. I found a way to grind on the bolt a bit which moves the sear catch back slightly (it's a separate piece that screws on) and allows the sear to catch it again

I bought one of those brand new and had issues with the sear like that out of the box. It would work for a minute after a fresh lube (~100 shots) and then start going full auto again.

Yup, took me a good hour to sort it out and figure out exactly what was happening. I'm fairly certain it's just a design flaw that dye overlooked because brand new they usually work fine (sounds like you had an odd one) but after some miles it shows up.

I still think the design is pretty cool and would really like to see a mechanical one

2010 Proto SLG. While the 2008 and 2009 models had solid color all aluminum bodies, the 2010s had a mostly black composite outer body shell with anodized aluminum accents in the recesses.

I have one in black with red highlights. Haven't seen all black before, so I wonder if that might be an aftermarket color scheme. I've seen red, blue, and gold accents.

They took all the accents off and covered any logos they couldn’t remove with tape. Also came with Velcro balls!
