Troubleshooting a big red paintball radar chrono

Anyone aware of a manual or other resource to troubleshoot these old chronos? Mine is sick, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

The company that makes then is in Washington state and the contact # will be on a sticker on the back... I have contacted them many times and sent them in for repair over the years Good people. and have always included a nice bottle to cover the cost....Manual? Never heard of one...

What issue(s) are you having? I have found that if you leave the big ass battery plugged in they drain surprisingly quickly and a new battery has just about fixed all of the issues I've had. I also have never found a manual for one.

Our local field has been on the same (3) big reds as long as I can recall...well, (2) of them and I sold him (1) a long time ago. One of them gave up years ago. One of the others is constantly showing "F" which is an indicator for a bad battery, but works fine. The other has a ghost. There is a highway some distance away from the field and it apparently has grown super powers in range. At times when you try to chrono on it you will hear a big truck go by and it suddenly gives crazy readings. Super strange.

I think it's a connection issue, as it does not power on with a fresh battery.

Check for continuity with a multimeter across both wires.
