where did these macro/hardline fittings come from

this guys collection is beyond insane. I've tried to contact him but have not heard back. anybody know how/where you can get "pretty" fittings like that. reading through the comments AGD produced these colors as factory options at one point!?were the macro fittings AGD only? anyway. I'm sick of braided hose and my flexible macrolines always leak with co2. would love to dress up a couple of my nicer mags with these - or pretty much anything beside the usual crap! suggestions?

Looks like CCM fittings to me...

Not sure when some will come back in stock though.

yeah - quite a collection. looks like he has hardline going into the CCM fittings - any idea what that is? CCM only shows it as macroline, which I hate - always seems to have small leaks with co2 that come and go

          I would guess brake line

Line material shouldn't matter. As long as the OD of the hardline tubing is correct and you are cut to the right length it shouldn't leak. Getting a clean bend in small tubing is the hard part.

I would look at automotive brake tubing, they make a small bending tool to give nice bends without kinking the metal / tube.

Short-length stainless braided lines are very hard to find nowadays. This is the next best alternative before going to macro

Macro is just so ghetto. Most of it is not even rated for the pressure we use in paintball. Its like using ducttape to hold on a hopper.
But its much cheaper then braided or hardlines, so I get it.

My favorite is hardline with banjos, like the early sheridans, but hardlines with CPs were common in the 90s. But generic flared fittings would work as well, but maybe a but clunky

I did not realize that macro is rated for something like 290 till I saw it on mcmaster. - that would explain the constant leaking with Co2 - always hated the stuff and used steel line always.

its not about price. its asthetics. just want something that looks more intentional on a nice clean mag - but also want it to work!!

Can you elaborate on the hardline with banjos. I know ive seen older sheridans but i never looked to hard at the fittings... when I type banjo bolt into McMaster it comes up with pressfit macro fittings...

It’s break line with an OD the same as macro. You can get the material at Autozone. Just need to make sure the OD is right. Also bevel the ends so it’s less likely to cut the sealing oring. They are finicky unless you are running constant air/Co2 this way you can wiggle it when it leaks, and it will leak. On off of 12g pressure makes those fittings a nightmare to use. They look good but are far from functional. I had a few and removed them after it put my Phantom out of commission. Only time I have ever had a Phantom stop working is because I was using that style hard line. I hate them after using them and will never go back. I’m in the process of figuring out a clean way to swap out those fittings on my Stock Class CCM build because they don’t seal well at CO2 pressures. They work fine for HPA as long as the fittings can bite into the macro line and hold. But the break line is hard and has to be cut long and kind of jammed into the fittings so it don’t pop out after pressurized. 4 of those fittings on a Mag at Mag pressure nope 👎 sounds like a headache and more trouble then it’s worth.

I recommend a CCI style hard line or coated braided line.

I put a lil shrink wrap on my hard line to black it out a lil it comes in a bunch of different colors and is super cheap and works 100% of the time.

They are CCM fittings. Email them to order they don't go on the website that much but they will get you a set. I just ordered a set of special color loss ones and it took around a month to get them or so.

took a look over at the sheridan sub-forum and found "badger's" work. are these the fittings HPlovecraft was talking about or are these very custom brass hardlines - I see what look to be solder lines....

I have them on my AKA EvlM, with hard line. Never had an issue with them. The line I bought online, forget what website I used. Will see if I can track it down.
