They were on the cover of an issue of APG ....in fact the very issue that caught my attention as a 15 year old in the grocery store, go figure, and was my first introduction to paintball ! True story!
This is not my picture, but if anyone has a copy of this issue they would sell to me, i'd gladly buy it ! At the least, if anyone who has this issue, could tell me the exact date on the front cover, i'd love to know the exact month I found paintball ! Cheers!

Like you, it was a chance encounter with APG that got me into paintball. In my case, it was the bookstore at my local mall and the December 1993 issue with Fred Schultz of Constant Pursuit on the cover.
Its a different pic then is on the cover shown above. If you look closely at the cover meleager posted ,(no, further up to their faces...) they are both smiling. in the op they are looking much more serious. Obviously same photo shoot, so I wonder if that was in the mag, or if someone just got a pic from the shoot.
I’d love to see all the photos from that photo session. Anybody know anyone involved in the shoot?
The pose on Mikes poster is definitely better than the one on the cover IMO.
Had that issue. It is funny. 24 year old me did a quick glance at the beautiful blue Phantom unibody and then focused in on the “puppies” next to it….
54 year old me gives a passing glance at the “puppies” and focuses in on the Phantom LOL.
Damn you MCB!
In all seriousness though, I love seeing these old photos. I remember recently reading an old article (fairly long one too) that was a collection of accounts from women who played the game. Can't remember what issue or even year, but it was definitely from before 2000. Maybe mid-'90s? I dunno. It was in black and white. Anyway, I thought it was interesting reading about their different viewpoints and experiences. Maybe someone here knows what article I'm talking about.
