    Nelspot 007 refurbish project

    hello everyone.

After 30 plus years my brother returned my 007 to me.. thankfully i was able to get it apart but there is still some rust that needs to come off the bolt and hammer. Stem and spring look to be intact. There is rust build up in the barrel that I need to address as well.

Any advice on what works best to get all of that off?

The funny part .. oring on the bolt was still intact and looks great!!

Thanks in advice for you help!!

Now might also be a good time to consider upgrading the internals to CCI internals. No more kinking.

I use a magical polishing and cleaning agent called Barkeepers Friend. Works wonders in a few minutes with some elbow grease and won't etch.

So all internals for cci work in a nelspot?

Actually have the parts starting their third day to get the last of the paint and rust off. So far it is looking good, no serious damage to the bore or bolt and hammer.

You'll have to swap the sears over (or modify them, Bacci has a video on this somewhere...) but otherwise, the cci internals work wonderfully in nelspots. With the parts on hand, it is a pretty easy 10-minute upgrade.

quick (very simplified) history lesson here: CCI's internals are essentially based on the Nelspot's...with improvements.

Also, don't forget that dropping CCI internals into a nelspot instantly changes your player stats...on average you gain +50 coolness, and +5 combat efficiency, and a 10% buff to your elimination count.
Rockin' a Phantom and a T2...CCI & CCM for the win.

There's also a member here who laser cuts new sears for CCI internals in a Nelspot. Unfortunately, I've lost his info after the hack.

                That was me.

We changed software on the laser and I've been too busy to reprogram, but some day I plan to.

Well I just finished everything up. I still have to get stuff to polished the hammer, bolt, barrel, and inside of the body. I put it all back together and threw in a 12 gram to see if it would hold air.

Seals are intact!!! Sounds like I had just over 20 good shots from the 12 gram. Wont know till I get it on a field and crono. Still some minor work to do ... but the heart breaking part is over and she pulled through.

Never going to let anyone take this from me again.
