Thanks for all the feedback. I was hoping for a front port on the ASA for a bit of a cleaner look. I may just end up shuffling around some ASAs to see how things look and still might spring for an ID EZ ASA. I've never cared too much about On/Offs as long as they've done their job, which is probably why I have a different one on all my guns. I'm going to pretty on my current build so needs to be gloss/polished and air centre mounted so will likely pull the trigger on an ID EZ asa.

Had one of those too. Can be stiff and didn’t like the feel of the plastic switch. Felt like it would break, though never did,

I mentioned them earlier in this thread. I really like them. I didn't find it stiff to turn and the knob despite being plastic is very durable.

But same here. I specifically use the 2k7? 8? Mini on/off. It's a super solid asa with only 2 o rings and is really easy to twist.

Also, I know from experience one can take a 6 foot fall onto concrete, with the full weight of a marker and a human arm landing on it, to the point where it gets some aluminum scratched off and keep trucking no problem

And cp is just a really stand up company, they sent me parts free of charge for regulators I made very clear that I had purchased used. Great people in the industry

Yep. I've had ultra positive experiences with the company itself as well. The mini ASA's came out in 2008 functionallity identical to the 2k5's except they're smaller.

In april 2019 I asked them if they would do a run of mini on/off rail mount ASA's with no side holes but a single hole on the bottom, to give people the symmetry they are after. They were happy to accomodate but it was a minimum order of 500 pieces at 27 dollars, so 13,500 dollars.

If I sold em for 50 plus shipping I'd still need to sell 270 of them to break even and at that price you might as well buy an inception or eclipse on/off

I just don't think there is demand for 500 new on/off ASA's so someone would be sitting on them for ~the rest of their life.

Yeah since most markers these days come with decent on/offs the aftermarket has taken a hit

I'll chime in again with love for the CP on/off asa's. I normally use the direct mount since I like the asa tight to the gun and I always like a little more reach on the tank.

They're super reliable. I bought a gun with one on it back in 2008 and after using it I bought CP asa's for all my guns. The fitting on the side doesn't bother me in actual use although for just aesthetics I like the fitting out the front. The Sconi asa's scratch that itch for me and I don't require an on/off functionality.
