Tight fitting bolt:

I threw this over on PBNation, but it doesn't seem to be getting much traction.

I just bought a Smart Parts Impulse. Gun seems to be in pretty decent shape but it is having trouble double and triple feeding. I've got new detents on the way for it, but while investigating the issue I also noticed the bolt seems really tight when I put it in or take it out of the bore. I put new o-rings on it and it seems the same.

I just used tank O-rings as that seems to be pretty common to most bolts I've had but again It's my first Imp, and I'm just not sure how it should fit. I think the bolt is stock, but there again, I don't know these well enough to be 100% sure.

Don't think they used the same oring as tanks on the bolt.

Also double check the detents are on the correct side. Ones longer than the other. Long side is vision side

Interesting... This is a Vision body but doesn't have the vision board. I just ordered an oring kit for it. That should have the proper orings in it.

Looks stock to me. I've always just run superfly's in my imps though because they are longer then stock and seem to handle modern paint better.

Tank orings are a -015 size oring and they are very common to bolts on many guns. But not a Smart Parts Impulse! They use -013 orings which are stretched quite a bit to fit on the bolt. This is the stock bolt.

Thanks man, that link is awesome. Haven't gotten in to do a full Cleaning and lubrication so thats going to be really helpful.

I don't know much about Impulses, but if that bolt is delrin/plastic it shouldn't need grease. In my experience that just creates a lot of drag. A drop of blowback/sewing machine oil on each o-ring should do the trick.
If it's a metal bolt, ignore me then.

No worries man. I’m pretty sure It is aluminum.
