Timing Rod Lengths - old style 3-ways to ID 3-ways

Trying to update my cocker’s 3-way from an Oracle to an ID. Figure it should have been an easy changeover and a I’ve used the ID 3-way before and it’s very nice. The problem appears to be my timing rod is too short and I can’t get the the three way in the proper position. Do ID 3-ways require a
longer timing rod than a standard one?! Of course I didn’t order one…. And I loathe ordering an item that costs less than the shipping….

I love my cocker, I love my cocker, I love my cocker…..

Hellion360 Had the same issue with mine and Hellion360 hooked me up with the exact parts and tuning I needed.

Some frames require a longer timing rod.
They are $10 and start at 3.55"
They can be easily trimmed down for the appropriate length, whatever suits your individual setup.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

My frame is a stock WGP swing frame. Nothing fancy. Would it be safe to buy the ID full sized rod or do I need the custom sized one? Feel like ordering both just in case.

As I recall the WGP swing works with the 3.55 trimmed down slightly. The 3.065 doesn't catch well on the collars nylon set screws.

The ID timing rod lengths are weird. You can get the longer one and trim it down but my gripe with that is how far down they are threaded. The one I trimmed was threaded for a full inch so there's still about 1/2" of thread sticking out of the 3-way which to me is unsightly. I wish they would come out with more normal lengths of timing rod. The 'cocker has only been around for 30 years, why invent new standards?

Or at least be clear that you need to use their cocking rod. Not like it’s a huge expense but it’s a pain to have to order and pay for shipping for. Kinda notice that with a few ID things. Their fancy Emek bodies don’t even mention PALs comparability. But in fairness, most of the Emeks that people will put these on will outshoot the PALs.
