convert benchmark double trigger frame to single trigger

How hard would it be to cut the double trigger guard at the bottom of this frame, trim it, heat it and shape it into a single trigger guard?

Is that a garage type job, if handy, or would a machinist need to do it?

Easiest way to convert it would be to cut off the trigger guard and make one that threads in similar to the first gen Shocktech swing frames.

Just run it without the double trigger shoe.

edit: that wasn’t the question. It doesn’t seem hard to do, but defiantly hard to make it look nice.

I wouldnt even try. I'm sure it can be done though. There's plenty enough market that you could probably do a trade for one.

The frames are machined different, you'll have a huge hunk of aluminum where your middle finger should sit.

Don't make a monstrosity just buy a single frame

This, there already so many frames out there that have been cut. And enough options for single trigger and double.

If you really want to try your hand on making a trigger guard just to look different, unique I am sure you can find a cut frame already.

Me too since I have no idea what an angle rinder looks like.

You could ask Maggot here on MCB if he has a Blemished one to mess around with.. I personally love these 2 finger frames, way more comfy than a single..

that's a good point, other than looking a bit goofy, theres lots of room for gloved hands! i might pick one of these up and just leave it as is, in all its single trigger, double trigger guard glory!

You can grind the frame into the shape of a normal frame.

you can fashion a trigger guard that looks okay.

for your effort, spend the 90 dollars or 110 dollars and get a good single trigger frame.

But if you want to take on the project, its totally doable. Most of us would think it isn't worth the trouble.

Don't ask for pitting in your b/s/t thread when you try to sell it later :P
