repair for cocker body cut too shallow at barrel threads?

Im sure I have seen the topic in OldMCB and it seems like the answer is no, but just thought I would check again if there is any way to fix a cocker body that was milled too aggressively at the barrel threads.

Speaking for my experience with pneumatic nail guns, we would tig weld a big slab of aluminum back on and then mill back to spec. This probably isn't really an alternative unless you specifically know the metal used, know what dimensions to mill back to, and are willing to re-anno.

If it is that Ripper body, as I said on Facebook, "build it, don't put a lot of money in it and play it". Fixing that most likely would cost as much as just taking a blank and having someone do it right.

A little dab of Bondo and it's right as rain...

I would be very gentle playing with that, as it wouldn't take much to have the barrel shank knock that area out of whack, thereby destroying the threads.

That's a scrapper... That's not the only problem it has.

I'm curious where this is re-posted. I am the one who bought this and recently returned it. I'd like to give any ballers a heads up to the significant damage to this. This guy and "his associates" are shady as hell and don't give a damn about ripping someone off.

Beyond the damage originally pictured, I also discovered the front grip frame hole had been drilled all the way into the valve chamber. I tried plugging it with a grub screw, but even with that could not get it to seal. There may very likely be additional internal damage, but at that point I was done with this body wasn’t going to waste any more time troubleshooting something I no longer planned on keeping. I'm guessing it would be cheaper and easier to buy a new body or pay someone to mill something similar than to repair that body.

And this is literally how he shipped everything. I even sent him a message asking to carefully package everything to which he responded "I sure will".

I browsed that guy’s Facebook profile before sending him a message and the whole vibe is “I’m going to screw you over,” right down to the demonic drawings. Needs a warning label.

Assuming the damage was undisclosed initially and given the piss-poor packing job, please post the seller's name so the rest of us can avoid this turd.

Seller's eBay name is vicdu_1140 and actual name is Victor Duran. And yes, the damage was initially undisclosed.

Oh! That looks familiar, either that one or another marker with the same issue. What is the asking price on it?
