Your going to have a hard time with that they were a very small run and then there were many different versions and no clear marking on what version of the internals you had or it came with or whatever.
Currently, there is a delay between pumping the marker and when air is charged for the marker to fire. Order goes like this, pump marker in, then release pump, wait to hear "puff", then pull trigger to fire. I am assuming either the main piston is not setting quickly enough due to a blockage/gummed up; or there is a problem with the internal regulator controlling the air to the piston. What is your opinion?
Running gen 2.5 aluminium piston, two piece screwed piston shaft, square head with plus sign points to hold the main spring back.
Sounds like your internal reg is sticking.
the reg need to be opened to inspect the orings and how straight the piston/shaft is, the aluminum ones are notorious for bending a bit and binding in the body.
If the shaft is bent, the only fix is to remove it and run an external reg.
Can you post pictures?
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...
I think I have all the possible variations on hand, at least all the ones I know that exist. I can probably get a video of what you need. The main piston can indeed get gunky, and start to bind a bit causing that re-activation you describe. You can also get bits of gunk/orings in the small air passages.
