Are these known for having issues or being finicky? I remember trying to use it a couple years ago and it had issues with not consistently venting when unscrewed and blowing orings. Now that I think back, I don't think those orings I was using were very good.

I rebuilt it recently with some different orings and it behaved better, but still no venting. Then today I went to use it with a slide check to make a pressure tester and it was venting no problem. The only thing I changed was putting grease on the orings instead of oil.

Seems fine now, just don't want to get to the field and have more of the same happen. I won't run it if it's known to have these problems.

I have a few of those and have never had a single issue with them. If I remember the design correctly, then not venting means something seized the threads of the knob before you could unscrew it enough to vent.

No issue with the one I had. Work pretty well.

Thanks. I can't quite remember if I was having issues with the threads being tight or if the little brass shuttle inside was just getting stuck. Seems fine now, I guess I'll try it.

I tried it again with a 1000psi output tank and it wasn't venting, then tried it with a 550psi output and another tank that had less than 500 left in it and it would vent fine. I think the tanks I tried it with years past were outputting 800psi. Any ideas what could be causing this?
