Brake fluid actually works quite well.

It might not actually be spray paint now that I'm digging into it. Lower tube and rear of breech (cocker body) are purple too and doesn't have a texture.

Could be good powder coat, crap Anno, or ceracoat

Lacquer thinner or acetone. Soak some paper towels in it and wrap the paper towels around the parts. Wrap that in foil and let them sit for a bit. It keeps the thinner from evaporating so it can work breaking the paint down.

Sometimes pictures are better than words. There's a lot of accumulated knowledge here and we may be able to tell more from images. Plus carnage pics are always a hit...........

Definitely ano. I was wrong. Not the greatest ever, but not that bad. May have it redone all gloss black.

Just need to unstuck the CP reg and feedneck now. And have the rear grip hole helicoiled...

I'll try to get pictures, but imagine an AIM Unibody and Benchmark style frame.
