Give it a go see what happens. Wonder if you could print a piece that could hold an oring type detent right in the end of that front bolt.

I'm thinking since that piece is 8-32 threads internally for the frame screws, maybe I can find something like a rubber screw in foot in 8-32. Or maybe a nub with a hole down the middle and use a countersunk screw. Just have to figure out how close the sleeve gets to the inside of the barrel.

Of course you found the perfect “feet” related solution. Give it a try and see what happens! Too cool of a gun to not make playable.
