    PGP rebuild ideas

With the delivery of my new frame for the pgp I’ve started to get together a list of things I’d like to do since I’ve got it apart. I’ve already replaced all of the o-rings and the valve was upgraded to a palmers valve a few years ago. So that being said here’s a few things I’d like to do:
    1) Polish the barrel. I never got around to doing a full polish. Does anyone have a good guide on the best way to go about this? I did put widgits in it prior. Still holds the HK army paint I’ve got on hand pretty well.
2)Polish internals. I’ve heard of folks doing this but I’ve never done it myself. Is there anything I want to be aware of or be careful of?
3)fabricate new front cap. Old plastic one broke so last time I had played I had used putty to block it off. Does anyone out there make a replacement?
    4) Re polish externals/repaint small parts. Sadly she’s been sitting a while and could really use a refresh. Shouldn’t need help there, I’d gotten a really good finish with brasso last time.

Is there anything else I should be looking to do that might make operation better or more efficient? Outside of the palmers valve she’s a stock 2k internally. I appreciate any insights you guys have, it’s been quite some time since I’ve been in the brass game.

For the front cap and other parts for that matter. JonM has a whole bunch of 3d printable upgrades for the pgp 2k on thingiverse.

Simply print a new front cap, matching rear site, matching extended feed tube plug, and polish what you want.

    Man MCB is so magical.

Oh snap! That’s freaking awesome. I’ll go take a look right now.

Guess that just leaves sorting out the internals.

In case you are having trouble finding it. Thingiverse has a poor search function sometimes.
Download files and build them with your 3D printer, laser cutter, or CNC. Thingiverse is a universe of things.

A buddy of mine loves to 3D print stuff so I passed those on to him. He tends to be super OCD about his prints so I can’t wait to see how those turn out and get them on there.
