    Some mag part questions

If there was any one advantage to being on social media, was having a good grasp on parts prices. I need some help putting value to a few parts.

I have two aluminum valve backs. One is a Shocktech and the other is Diamond Labs, but one of the "sample" pre-production ones.

I have a matching "MiniMag" valve with a good L7 bolt and the matching back. I will have to look to see how many stars.

A non matching classic valve with a Benchmark bolt.

Each of these valves has a 32* dial a welt, and pretty sure I have the stock adjusters for both as well.

A ULE body that is cut to AM/MM length. Stock feed, not anno, and it has a helicoil for frame screw.

Give me some ballpark prices on this stuff?

$10 each - I have two aluminum valve backs. One is a Shocktech and the other is Diamond Labs, but one of the "sample" pre-production ones.

$50-$60 - I have a matching "MiniMag" valve with a good L7 bolt and the matching back. I will have to look to see how many stars.

$30 - A non matching classic valve with a Benchmark bolt.

$50 maybe - A ULE body that is cut to AM/MM length. Stock feed, not anno, and it has a helicoil for frame screw.

    1. Aluminum valve backs are not all that desirable.
    2. Mismatched valves are not desirable
    3. Stars don't seem to matter
    4. Once the ULE body was cut, it's value dropped drastically.

    Just my thoughts.....

Correct when they ended the star program 10ish? years ago they pretty much ended any reason for a valve with more stars to be any more desired then a valve with no stars.

I like finding valves with the stars drilled out because you rarely see that.

I tend to agree with your other assessments as being in the ballpark, you are fucking high if you think this is a valid valuation.

          Pictures would help
not sure I understand how was the ULE body cut to fit AM/MM, since I have two ULE body on classic mag and they fit without cutting...
ULE body sell around $100 to $120 but depend on condition

Star does not matter on valve but a complete matching valve and bolt is worth around $50-$60 but more if its a reverse valve (air port on the left side)
          non matching valve around $40-$45

Depending on price and condition I would be interested by one of the aluminum valve back

I'm assuming a ule cut to fit an AM/MM rail mean it was cut similar to a pariah body where there is no "lip" on the body that hangs past the rail

            that is correct, length

          #7
As far as valve backs go, value depends on condition. If the lasering and ano is good and not faded, I've seen them in the 30-65 range each, if they have internals, their on the higher end of the spectrum
As far as the ule body goes, I had one that was cut down too to the length your talking about, but mine was pump milled and the thread was good/ano was good. I sold mine for 125 about a year ago. yours, maybe 50-75 since it still needs ano and the helicoil might scare some people away.

I paid $65 for my Shocktech valve back a good long time ago. I've seen them (and Diamond Labs) go for as low as $60, and as high as $100 in recent years.

Yes, part of the reason I asked was that when I quit FB people were paying north of $200 for stock MiniMags, and nearly that much for Classics. I didn't know if the market had corrected to some degree or not. I am fairly sure that the valve backs were averaging about $80 a pop in good shape, which both of the ones I have are.

stock minimags still sitting at about 200.

45+ on the reg backs empty in decent condition. better the condition the more you will get.
