what to do with Sold listings on BST

What's the recommendation for listing that I have sold. Should I delete post, or leave it up ( ive been putting sold in description). I see some are marked "closed" don't see that option on my phone. I don't see a way to change heading either. I put feedback instead of feedneck, and couldn't change it.

I always write “Sold” like you do. Then I close the topic.

if you hit the “settings” button you have the option to close or delete the topic. This only comes up if you started the thread.

Some people like to leave the prices on, so there's a record of values on things, but completely up to you. You can't change the post heading once it's published.

This issue of some folks reviving old sales posts I have put up, has never been a problem for me, so I've always kept them posted with prices and pics for posterity sake!

Marking the posting clearly with the "SOLD" wording in bold seems to be working for me as well

Its a good thing to keep the post and price for future reference if someone want to sell the same item and is not sure at what price it should be listed

I put *SOLD* on either side of the price. I figure that's the one place people will almost certainly look before they message. For me old thread revivals have never been an issue unless I just forgot to mark it as sold. I also make my last post in the thread the price it sold for.

Thanks guys.I must be getting old. I looked at settings several times and didn't see it (even though there were only 2 thing there) I'll leave the prices and just close topic. I've looked at stuff and realized the post was over a year old.

I agree with keeping prices up and clearly marking SOLD. Honestly if you can, keep the pictures up too.

Make sure you leave the price in for people's future reference when marking SOLD. Especially on things that are hard to price.

                    Please and thank you.

I try to update when things are sold. When I do I always leave the price up. Bugs me when they are removed. How are others going to know if they do a search. Yeah maybe the last one sold was over a year ago, but at least they would have starting point. And if they needed update on going rates, they can always ask what it is worth.

I fully agree that it is preferrable to leave both photos and the price up. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, putting "SOLD" on both sides of the price should be the most obvious place that the item in question is sold. Not that it prohibits a general use of the word "SOLD" at the very top of the ad as well.

I mark items as sold leaving the rest the post intact.

Gotta contribute to the bluebook somehow.
