1/4” long 1/8” NPT plugs?

Does anyone know where to buy Stainless 1/8” NPT plugs that are .24-.25” in length? All of the ones I can find are .3-.31” in length and wind up sticking wayyy out of my new RT rail that didn’t come with plugs.

I saw those and they’re still going to be on the long side I think; the original ones on the RT measure out to be .24” iirc, and with the taper a little change in length leads to a larger change in what sticks out.

Can you tap the holes a bit deeper to widen the taper at the top?

Or just cut the back of the plug ...

You can also run a die over the plug to thin it a bit, it will go deeper ...

Considering it's a brand new RT rail and cost $95, I'm extremely hesitant to do that.
