    Anodizing Help/Suggestions

So I've got that OG Freeflow Lotus body. It's in pretty rough shape. Below is a mock-up, only changes from the mock-up will be a full Shocktech Pneumatic set. I plan on getting the feedneck milled, but that's it.

I'm in a quandary about what to do anno-wise. Even after hand polishing the body has some pretty significant scratching from whomever removed the previous anno. So, for the MCBer's, a few questions:
    • I don't have the time/ability/tools to really go after and clean up the surface scratches, how much and who would be best to do that?
    • Am I better off finding a local shop to just do some quick bead blasting to clean it up and go "dust" finish?
    • Not trying to be "cheap" on this project, but also don't want to spend a ton on a body that has clearly led a rough life. Thoughts on plain black anno, leaving the front block and frame red?

I want a red and black Autococker with very simple anodizing just to put this barrel on it ... it does all the singing needed. https://www.hkarmy.com/products/lazr...40316062400582

I’ve been eyeballing that barrel as well. Would
Look great on my black and red Dragon cocker.

Oh man, i don’t even know. Your dragon cocker with that freak tear drop is hard to improve on. That deep red wine colour is consistent throughout. The black freak back creating balance in the middle of the marker in conjunction with the cp reg. It might really set it off but can easily have the opposite effect. If it doesn't look hot start a new build

In my very limited polishing experience I feel someone with a buffing wheel and the right color rouge compound can get nearly all those scratches and nicks out.

Yeah. If I had the time I would run up to my in-laws and use his bench grinder that has a polishing wheel. Either way, needs an anno.

Personally, I love black with red. All my guns are either black (Illusion, Phantom, Cyborg, Millennium), or red on black (Torque, Sentinel, Phantom).

Also, some bigger shops run black so often, you can just piggyback a batch and save some coin.

The milling on the body reminds me of empty bullet shells, plain black will look very understated but it doesn't need more to look great.

So this have been suggested before and if you are after a gloss finish it will not work but i am looking at having my markers cerakoted, i have heard that it is just as durable as anodizing, it can be done at home if you have an airbrush and oven, and is cheaper than anodizing even if you have a professional do it.

Oh yeah, familiar with cerakote, I've had work done with it before.
    Working...
