    Empire Pneus, any good?

The Empire Ressy Pneumatics kit looks to be the most affordable option out there, if buying brand new parts.

How are these pneus in terms of quality and reliability , compared to the nicer ID, Shocktech, Palmers, AKA , etc options?

Are parts easy to find for them, for when they fail? Or do they have any weird , hard to source proprietary seals, etc ?

Meh.... Ram is ok, three-way is decent but the lpr is junk.

I personally have never had any problem with the Empire Pneumatics. I think they perform great. However, they are $120 and a new set of Id pneus are like $180. For resale alone I would spend the extra $60.

They are fine. Better to purchase some used WGP if you want a cheap option.

I think it is worth spending a little more for Inception if you want new pieces. I also quite like a mix of pieces, but for the 3-way I almost always use Inception. I think they are easy to set up, switch fast, and rarely leak.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Agreed, those ID 3-ways are fantastic.

New empire pneus are functional, but there is a pretty big difference from empire to inception or shocktech especially in the 3way. They have much shorter cycle lengths and ultimately make it much easier and better on the user end. personally i have both inception and shocktech stuff on my own markers that were built.

empire pneus are basically the rev 1 of the inception pneus. They are designed by the same person. Inception is now on V4 of their pneus.

Shocktech uses standard seals with the exception of the 3way orings which are a different material but typically you can get away with a 003 buna oring in a pinch.

Inception uses a mix of standard and metric orings both which should be able to be sourced in canada.

Do "we" as a community know the ST 3way material/durometer? Viton maybe?

Material is silicon I think, same OD as a 003 spec but the ID is slightly larger (1/16?)
There is a post on the forum that explain how to mod a standard 003 oring to fit.

I would spend a lil extra and go for the Inception of it we’re my build. Not really saving a bunch by going with the empire and the Inception are top notch quality wise. They probably have my favorite 3 way on the market.

That should be a really nice combo

Shock tech ram has an extra long throw that does not benefit the typical user. Just more smashing of the hammer lug into the body slot. It’s basically a worse STO ram.

I like the FGP though, maybe use shock tech lpr and inception ram and switch
