ccm ss25 vs inception v3 for empire sniper

something in me is telling me to stop while i’m ahead on this build. the other something is telling me to keep going and enjoying the tinkering.

anywho as title states, i’m building my brother an empire sniper and want to upgrade the lower tube further. i already purchased the inception hammer to clear the bolt…

should i stick with simply re springing or should another valve be in the works…

going to buy the inception spring kit or simply a ccm hammer spring and valve spring to go with the valves. but which valve should i choose

Valves make very little difference on a semi even less on a pump. It’s all in the springs and in the case of the Empire sniper springs and hammer.

Pump handle would be my next choice if you want to throw money at it. Not the valve. Stock one works fine.

Chuck hit the nail on the head! Go with springs and don't bother with the valve.

I have two snipers, one has an entire ID lower tube, and the other just has the SLPS (is that right?) spring kit off ebay and the one with the SLPS spring kit actually has a much nicer pump stroke.

Both have 3d printed handles that made a huge difference.

alrighty thanks guys… wasn’t too sure if i needed a different valve for different springing. i’ll shoot my shot with the slps kit or ccm springs.

I used my sniper stock for a day. Shoulder was BEAT at the end. Instead of immediately selling it afterwords like I wanted I decided to try a few upgrades. First I put in the inception hammer and ccm springs. Then I took off the pump rod. The stock pump guide had some seriously sharp edges. So I spun the pump handle in circles on it. Made lots of little shavings. Next I sanded those edges and added a little bit of oil. With everything back together it was like an entirely different gun for $50 and some elbow grease. It pumps so smoothly now my 6 year old can cycle it by herself and claimed it as her own. I swear most of the ccm magic must reside in the springs.

Both my sniper's pump handles were swollen when I got them, so I don't know for sure, but I have heard not to oil them, as that is what makes them swell.

I bought some CCM lowers from someone here and when I put it in my marker it didn't pump any better than stock WGP. So I posted them for sale on FB and Bill responded saying the springs were not CCMs. So I bought the springs and threw it in, and magically the marker pumped just like a CCM. So you might be on to something. Although, I have never tried their springs with a different manufacturers internals.

I used a drop or two of ballistol. Put it on weeks ago and still pumps nice and easy

Well, from what I have seen from the ANS videos, the marker came with tons of grease caked inside the pump handle, so maybe that was the issue, and some drops of oil would be fine. Keep us posted though!

personally i hate the delrin material for cupseals. They can sometimes be hard to seal especially if you change to a weaker spring or try and drop the operating pressure.
I have seen good results from the ccm valves and no issues with the inception valves in my markers.

When you change the springs in the marker make sure you swap the spring in the pump handle. It is basically the same as a main spring and can be way lighter.
The drill to use on the pump handle i want to say is 33/64". It is just larger than a half inch and will free the pump handle up enough to feel like it should have from the factory.

I am not sure how long or old that sniper is but if your ordering parts i would also order a rebuild kit and replace the orings in the reg. They should be the same as the inception reg orings but the main thing you need to replace is the reg seat. Don't lose the spring and restrictor under the reg seat.

you may notice that after you replace the hammer that your pump has a hard stop at the back of the pump stroke. If you decide you don't like that and want to soften it up, let me know. I cut the body and guide rod down a smidge and it makes a decent difference.

thank you for the tips.. the main reason i did ask which i forgot in my response regarding to simply keep the stock valve and swap the springs was that i did want to buy a new cup seal for the stock valve. but why spend 15+shipping when i can use that money towards an upgraded valve.

i did replace the bottom half of the stock regs seals and noticed the top half had marks suggesting it has been previously opened as well

based an superman’s response i will most likely be buying an ss25 valve as long as they work
