    Automag Pump Rod Angle

I am trying to make a pump automag and am looking for the degree of angle required for the pump rod to engage with the bolt. I came across a thread on another forum that said 30° but that seems drastic. Sadly I dont have a pump mag to reverse engineer. I dont need an exact angle but was hoping someone could get me in the ball park so I can machine a rail and body. Thanks!

Luke’s custom use to sells pump milled rails. At least I thought he did. I just looked and he use to have an option to have it done. It’s not there anymore.

I bet Cougar20th would know who can pump mod a rail.

Luke still offers the milling. Not sure if he offers the rod. Unfortunately I do not have the tools to measure the rails or rod I have.

I think I have the CAD files in my old laptop. Let me look.

It is a pretty steep angle, but over a short distance.

Well, I'm glad RuleofSines posted something else. I do have something, but it's not very....useful. No wonder I never tried to do it myself.

As for the rod. Get it close it doesn't need to be exact. Mines been a piece of wire coat hanger I bent by hand to line up with the 1:1printed drawing. Still good 20+ years later

I have the drawing for the body as well. I can get it once my workday starts.
