    shameless plug alert!

I made some 3D printed seed wheel for them, they make this problem entirely disappear!

Ooooh! I like. I just installed William The Third's velocity adjuster mod for my TR50 and losing the degas button, while totally worth the trade-off, makes the wrench necessary. I'll have to print something like this myself.

I kind of ignored this thread since I never messed with a umarex. I just noticed the op.

    Welcome back Shane!

Araphel modded my 12g cap to make it way easier to use, similar to XEMON

I've been considering getting a TR50. What is the best way to carry the cylinders? What kind of velocities does it get in the winter? Has anyone tried the remote line adapter?

The short time I had my tr50 I also noticed the way too difficult 12g cap. Had to use a vice to get it off after I pressure tested it.

Umarex also makes it sound simple to pierce, it wasn't in my case. Had to smack the thing 3 separate times, left my hand feeling like I was intentionally bruising it.

You also need to understand that umarex makes these for the laughably titled "less than lethal home defense" people, and then modifies them for use on the paintball field.

They don't seem to be very in touch with the paintball community. We don't need things like pierce seals that need to be smacked, we could use stuff like velocity adjustment.

I use Tapatalk which does NOT display comments. If you want me to see it, make it a post not a comment.

You nailed it about the target market: Home Defense.
This is the same story as the FN303, its not a paintball equipment and its modified by the user to make it usable on the field.

Even the home defense is a new market for Umarex, they are mostly a pellet/replica manufacturer when you get 30 to 50 shot per 12g and you want the highest power possible

But im one of a few who really like teh smack to pierce system, its been working flawlessly for me. Im wondering if they have some discrepancy from batch to batch ....
