Bleed valve for HPR testing?

Hello,

I have an on/off asa with some gauge attachments I use to test the output from regulators and such. I want to add a momentary-style bleed valve so that I can test the recharge rate of the regulators and so fourth.

Does anyone know of a higher pressure bleed valve I could use for this application?

The only ones I have seen are in the 200psi range.

Doesn't have to be push-button, but something that can bleed in a short burst and momentary would be ideal. - I've seen some set ups that are hand squeeze style but assume they are home made? They look pretty great.

I realize I could add a LPR-> 200psi bleed valve, but if there are bleed valves that work on 400-800psi that would be simpler

Pretty sure PPS sells one that is 1/8th NPT threaded.

Also I should say that the pressure testers from ID can be used in this way.

I use a push type bleed valve for my tester, but it can be a pain to press especially at higher pressures.

Hmm, the pps one looks only rated to 200psi best I can tell.

I purchased mine from eBay. It was an industrial brand that has slipped my mind, but looks similar to the PPS version.

look for a high pressure solenoid valve. This way you dont have to fight against the pressure.

Ahh cool those are interesting options, though a bit spendy.

I'm going to give this dye hyper reg tester a shot - see if I can make it work as just a bleed.

Hyper regs go up to 450psi, so I am hoping this thing can handle that pressure.

if you bought the electronic solenoid, you could wire it to a spare trigger with a micro switch and see how it recharges when youre walking the trigger... lol
