Freak boring a Dye UL

I'm hoping to pick up an older large bore dye Ultralight barrel back in Shocker SF/4x4 threads, then getting it bored for freak inserts.

I'd like to make sure that model is boreable before I buy, can anyone here confirm that it can it can easily be done?

bmc fabrication is the guy to ask. He often times has extra barrels kicking around that he bores. I would check with him. Here is his website, but he is also on fb.

BMC is the go to for that. Dye barrels are pretty consistently true. Shouldn’t have an issue boreing them out for freak inserts. You could probably do an xL if you send the tip to this way you don’t have a 3rd step in the barrel.

Take calipers and measure 3-4 points on the barrels inner diameter. The deviation needs to be under .01”
