Milsig Mag Info

Looking for info on Milsig mags. There’s an interesting gear package that’s popped up locally featuring an X7 phenom with and additional mag fed body. Runs round head Milsig mags and has a box mag. Guy says it’s all a few years old at least.

Questions:
How are these mags? Are round head better than square head?
A box mag seems interesting, but is it useful at all? How does it feed?

I can’t speak for the box mags. But as far as milsig mags go, the round head was the old style, before first strikes. And the head has a whole collar that is the detent, so it’s a lot easier to actually press it down. So storing mags upside down in a pouch might be a problem
