Which Halo Upgrades are "Worth It"?

So I'm looking to buy a halo for the mg100 warp feed thing, and I'm looking for some upgrades.

I've read that essentially a board is a board (aside from anti jam programming), that older shells should be swapped out for newer polycarbonate ones, and that the rip drive is generally worth it, but what else is there? Drive cones? Anti jam things? What are those like?

    Thanks for your help.

I REALLY love my suicide shells, and not for ease of maintenance either. They fit perfectly in all my old nonclamping feed necks. Can't recommend highly enough.

        Ah, thank you.

I'm usually a little wary about advice (especially about 'upgrades') from older threads because of the mass amounts of pseudoscience that occurred back then.

But seeing Simon Steven's post gave me piece of mind.

I was looking at those. What's the material like as far as brittleness? I've heard it's better than the old stock ones, but seeing them in videos, and hearing them creek, I'm not sold yet. How are the newer halo shells?

The Halo Too shells are very robust. I don't have any experience with the suicide shells, but I will say the Halo Too shells are some of the strongest feeling shells I've ever seen.

Suicide shells are better than the stock shells. Not sure how easy it is to get some now, though. Like Magmoor said, the Halo Too shells are pretty tough. If you picked up one of those, you wouldn't need to upgrade anything.

I broke my Halo Too shell a few months back. Really it was just half the neck. Lost the piece at ICPL last weekend. Ordered a Suicide shell today. We'll see how it goes!

Ok, thanks for the advice guys. I'm picking up a V35 Halo with rip drive tomorrow.

The upgrades I'm looking at are:

                  Freeway anti jam

                  Backplate (for style)

Either a halo too or suicide shell, depending on the feedback I get.

                  Neoprene cover

                  Aluminum rip drive wheel

Maybe a magna drive clutch (looks kind of complicated)
