    40/50 round hopper recommendations?

I’ll looking for recommendations for small hoppers. I’m possibly hosting a limited paint 2 man tournament, which will require 40/50 round hoppers.

We will be recommending players buy 2 loaders so I’m not looking for expensive Winchesters.

Players are limited to only the 40/50 rounds in their loader. No podpacks, and I don’t want to mess with counting to make sure people only have 50 in a standard loader.

Jolos are the best, winchesters are the second best. Both are pretty expensive though. Everything else is pretty bad in my experience

        I like these:

        http://www.allenpaintball.com/

Click "Hoppers" and you'll find it almost at the bottom towards on the left.

I don't know who called it "the best pump hopper ever made", but for $10 it can't be beat.

I have several of those APP 50rd hopper and they are the cheapest good hopper I tried.

As Chuck E Ducky mentionned, stay away from GXG, my experience is they will break with a shot close to the lid.

They make a APP-60 that’s basically flawless out of the box for the money. It will take a full 50 round pod with no mods. It’s cheap too. It just don’t feed as well as the JoLo

JOLO is the best 50round hopper.

        Modified Winchester is 2nd best

APP-60 is a great less expensive alternative like the one posted above.

Stay away from the cone shaped GXG they feed like crap.

There's also ammo boxes for those who want old school flair. I have no idea how well they feed.

Not bad actually especially with today’s small paint.

If you want everyone to use the same hopper for an even playing field APP is your best bet imo. I love my 1st Winchester it is my go to but my second won’t feed no matter what I do to it. They are not consistent. App don’t feed as well as a good winny but they re all the same in my experience and don’t cost an arm and a leg

Is the feedneck cut? Winchesters have a tendency to split at the feedneck people often cut them down so they fit closer to the body. This destroys the stack pressure needed to feed well. The jam when the feednecks are cut. Also if they are not lid modified they get overfilled buy standard pods especially the APP pods with the collars and dimples. Those hold more paint than the GXG guppies.

The APP-60 increased the feedneck length add capacity so that it’ll except a full “50 round pod” and it’s made of durable plastics comes lid modified from the factory. Best budget hopper.

JoLo added a shelf to direct paint around the stack and dimples around the inner stack opening to keep paint off set so the don’t lean on each other and fall into the stack. They feed so good you can use them reliably on semi makers.

My Winchester is lid modified for extra capacity, it’s got a ginger dynamic bounce cover to prevent paint from breaking inside the hopper when shot it’s also got one of those feedneck inserts that split the feedneck but make it so it fits in most markers tightly. It feeds good but it’s modified a bunch.

Nah. It was a problem in the molding, the neck has a lip inside and I’ve sanded and sanded and sanded and it’s nowhere near my number 1

I’d get one of the JoLo or other hoppers from pbdna because they won’t fall apart. They’re kinda heavy but by far the best functioning ones out there in the size range.

next would be whatveee smaller size APP Allen paintball products blow molded

next would be a sport shot or an empire version of the 100 ball sport shot that has a nice profile and works ok

I like the brass eagle hoppers that came with the original grey talons and the tigershark. They have one that has a threaded cap instead of the press fit. Run them backwards and they feed fine. Holds 50 paintballs. Gotta use ten round tubes to refill though. .
