CP regulator

Is there a way to increase the output pressure of a CP regulator higher than 500 PSI, safely?

Shim it.

If you take the seat out of those it will run tank pressure straight through and it will be just fine

Yes. If you remove a critical component that allows a regulator to regulate, it will not regulate. Thus, it will allow full flow with no reduction of input to output.
