Anyone tried Valken VGC white box paint?

    https://www.valken.com/valken-vgc-wh...er-paintballs/

The price tag is both enticing and scary because of how low it is for a case of paint. I assume VG = Valken Graffiti, not sure what the “C” stands for.

Anyone ever shoot this stuff? Is it primarily for fields to use as the field paint?

I for one am enticed by the worlds most nondescript box.

Indeed. It doesn't even look like normal case dimensions.

Considering the quality of paint Valken has seen fit to put their name on, I'd hate to see what they wouldn't.

Recently a group of friends and I went to a field in Maine, and the owner warned us that he bought Valken paint and it was bad. He said it was hard and didn't like to break. We have resorted to Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods paint so we could handle it. I kid you not when I say it was the most dangerous paint I have ever used. His rentals were shooting like 170fps, which we thought was odd, but I think he turned them way down so people didn't get hurt.

Our small group walked on the field and I swear this is true, my buddy shooting <280fps shot a old tree and it shot through the bark bounced off the tree shot back out of the bark in another spot and the paintball then bounced off a boat (that was a bunker) never to be seen again. We played for hours and never saw one break on a person. My buddy who is 280lbs was standing on a single paintball and it didn't break. The owner swore it came off the truck like that.

For the money, I would buy Triumph paint over this stuff. However, I have been buying Virtue Ace for like $45 a case (when buying two), and that is some of the best paint I have used in the last five years.

I have 2 holes in my vinyl siding from where I shot down a banana spider and the valken paint bounced off of him and went through the siding. I finally got him down but that paint was like rocks. I have had some that was ok but I don't trust it enough anymore. It's hit or miss if it's going to be good or not.

I was running the local field in town and we got a shipment of .50 paint in from Valken and it was really bad too. They took some of the paint back when we complained about how bad it was. They knew there were issues. We couldn't let kids shoot that at each other. It was leaving worse bruises than the 68 cal.

Glad I’ve not gone this road then. I host games for beginners and definitely don’t want to shoot monster marbles at anyone. I remember those from decades past - they were awful.

I don’t care about the absence of a label on the box, but I do care that the paint might be dangerous.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I’ll continue to use the Draxxus Competition I’ve purchased in the past - seems to do well enough for rec play in the woods.

The "C" stands for "cry uncle." Just put your hand up when you've had enough.
