    Micrococker Help Needed!!!

    Greetings!

I have had a micrococker project that has been unfinished for too long! The biggest issue I am having is getting a hammer system to work for me. I have everything for the project completed except the hammer. I had a local machine shop drill and tap a hammer to match the other Micrococker hammers I have seen. However, when I try to use it, it just doesn't work. I decided to try to fix it one more time, and the issue is the hole with the lug that the cocking screw comes out of is completely hidden when cocked. When I looked at pictures blitz121 shared of his, I noticed the slot above the hammer in his micrococker is significantly longer than mine.

Was there a different hammer that I am unaware of? What are my options? I would hate to have to have someone cut the slot inthe body longer, but that is the only thing I can think of now, if the hammer is correct. Please let me know what I need to finally get this beauty on the field! Thanks!

The Green cocker is Blitz121's, mine is the red one.
The first pic of mine is the hammer at rest, and the second is the hammer cocked back.

Now that I am looking at this, is there just a super long lug I could use that would cock back the hammer?

Looking at the slot i would think that there are more than 1 type of hammer. I would look at the sled that he is using too compared to yours.

Forrest is very active on FB, not so much here. I would reach out to Forrest with your question as he built all of these and can most likely give you the best answer and if you need something different might actually have it in stock.

Yeah, honestly, that should have been my first stop, I was just hoping for an obvious answer someone had here.

First off, when you say it's not working, what is it doing? "Not working" can mean many many things.

Is it not cocking? Low velocity? Not releasing the hammer? Etc

The hammer isn't able to cock itself back because the lug that contacts the sled doesn't have enough opening in the body to move the hammer back far enough to reach the cocking point.

I emailed Forest and he said they used several different hammers and lugs for microcockers. I'll be meeting him at his warehouse on Monday for him to take a look at it. I'll update you all here with what he says.

I got the opportunity to hang out with Forest yesterday, and we went over a bunch of projects that we are both working on and put our heads together and dug through the warehouse (awesome day!).

He said this version of the micrococker used a standard hammer with an extra long lug. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any more. He said I should be able to pick up a 1/20th screw and modify it to work...wish me luck!

He was able to find a NOS barrel for the PTSC body I picked up, as well as a matching ano micromag barrel that matches the PTP cocker I just picked up. He also hooked me up with a Medsua frame that is mid cocker conversion along with all the parts needed to finish the conversion. He also got me 90% of the original pump kit to the PTSC (I just ordered a CCM pump guide to complete it).

He is a human database with paintball knowledge and it is insane seeing all the prototypes he has. PTP clearly made stuff just to see if it was possible. The stuff he has is awesome. He pulled out a paintball bazooka signed by William Shatner, the first ever Spyder e-frame they made (never went to production because of Smart Parts), Warp feed prototypes, Semi converted Armson Pump, etc. Super Awesome.
