Can I purchase a single steel Freak XL insert?

I haven't been able to find any vendor that sells the steel Freak XL inserts that are .684 or smaller. I couldn't even find any contact info at Freakpb.

I was planning on getting a few old barrels milled for the XL insert but I would rather not run with aluminum inserts.

I know my local paintball store can order them individually as a friend just had to get a stainless one to replace a damaged one. Might be a wholesale only kinda thing so check with your local store maybe.

AFAICT, the stainless inserts have never been sold singly. I might be wrong about that, but I've never seen them in anything other than a complete set. I'm with you, though. They used to make a .675 insert, but only in aluminum and I'd rather to be able to snag that in stainless to just have the option.

Looking at their website now though, it seems they've been messing with the sizes between aluminum and stainless.

The aluminum set now includes .678, .680, .682, .684, .686, .688, .690, and .692. The stainless set is .677, .679, .682, .684, .687, .689, .691, and .693.

The smallest aluminum one they sell singly now is a .676 instead of .675 like it used to be. The differences are small enough I suppose it doesn't really make any difference, but I wonder what the reason for the changes are.

ANS had the 689 stainless XL available as a single, and GoG's site had them listed but all sold out.
