    Lapco Bigshot vs CP Tactical

Need a long barrel for a project.
Just wondering if anyone has experience with either of the top listed in the picture below.

    Thoughts on either?

    Thanks.

Ive never used this CP barrel, but never had much to say about them (CP barrels ive used), they are good middle of the line 👍
The big shot are always a solid all around choice, that my go to non-freakbored barrel ...

    Hope my 2ct helps 😁

Lapco has better old school style, the CP has removable tips (Lapco and Killhouse compatible). Otherwise they're tubes.

I really like the CP, got one recently, use it with the barrel detents on my sniper with rain cover and hi vis sight bead. Shoots very nice.

Paint is definitely tiny and the 684 bore on the Lapco will probably save some air. Lapcos shoot darts I have used them extensively. The CP is probably bigger bore but will have tacticool options (some of which can be molded to be useful).

I love Lapco barrels. CP are fine. If you're not worried about bore size the CP may be the better option if you're trying to save cash.

I’ve been using an.684 lapco for at least 10 years on my sniper and I only take it off to add a lapco breech insert in front of it. I’m sure cp is fine too but… Lapco

Just for grins, I looked that barrel up on CPs website. They have a .684, .686, qnd .689 option.

Mostly, whichever barrel comes closest in bore size (or even smaller) than the paint you typically shooy. Either of them, being longer than 12" will be a little less efficient.
I do really like the Type III hard anno used by LAPCO, it is far more durable than the regular anno used by CP.

I ordered the CP, then received an email that’s it’s sold out and won’t return. -.-

I usually see long barrels on tacticool projects. If you happen to be using these on anything magfed, be advised that you'll probably start flipping FSRs. Long barrels create a lot of back pressure and can flip the noses up.

I think Lapco makes a better barrel but CP barrels are great too. It’s likely that CP bore is very large those were made a while ago.
